Problem with MCP355 pump. Help!

Thread Starter
When I powered the pump on, it seems as though it's not powerful enough for the system. Its the MCP355 pump with aftermarket XSPC acrylic top. It just stops, doesn't fill up the res. I was told by several people here that this top would be sufficient, is it not powerful enough for the system?

Do you have a direct feed to the pump?
That pump would is more than enough for your loop.

What do you mean a direct feed? Yeah, I figured that the pump should be fine...

Its only cooling the cpu and gpu

I don't understand what you mean when you say "fill up the reservoir". A properly working pump wouldn't do that anyways.

I think he wanted to say "emptied" the reservoir and he was referring to the loop filling process.

PS: A few pics of your loop setup would help A LOT.

I believe he had placed a pump before the reservoir in the loop.

infinite illusions
Tell us you WC component order

Rad -> CPU WB - > GPU WB - > .....?

I use the 18 watt version of your pump... but I always use an XSPC res top. They are relatively cheap and I highly recommend them for increased performance from your pump and ease of refilling your loop.

I got it sorted out, I just picked up a different pump altogether, evidently something must have been wrong with this pump, it was extremely loud. I had everything set up correctly. Its not quite finished yet. But it is running now. As for the pictures, I will post them in the WCing section soon, my camera is broken currently. Tomorrow everything should be up and running.

Hi,

Running the 355 pump with remote res and tested the pump with T line
open and is one powerful little pump.
Could use it to water the lawn.
Might add another 240 rad at top of case and don't think any problem at
all with the 355.

Res before pump
