Well, I'd contact a hi-fi shop as a decent 2.1 can be had for that money.

Maybe contact these guys as it looks like they have a good range of decent products going by their website: http://www.alfanny.com/contact_us.html

I'm sure they can help better than us and guessing easier in Arabic as well.

it doesn't mean they're any good when compared to other systems for the price. You might like them but what perspective do you have? i.e. experience with different speakers.

Back when the Z-5500s could be found for ~$220 shipped, they were an awesome bargain.

sure bookshelf sets sound better, but not at that price point if you also need a receiver.

OP, don't waste your money on the Z-5500s. If you want awesome quality, then buy bookshelf speakers and a receiver.

I'm pretty sure that was a studio monitor. Those don't require another power source.

Thanx a lot chinesekiwi for the link

but unfortunately looks like this site had different type of speakers
i just need sample 5.1 system like z-5500 or better with the same price range

guys .. i saw all the comments on the video i posted above and looks like i am going to edifier s550

and almost all the comments saying that edifier s550 is better
even the video owner itself .. he heard them both and told me that edifier s550 is better
at least there is no common pod control problem

so .. any tips or advice before buying ?

In a room that size, good quality 2.1 sound will be better than poor quality 5.1 sound. That's why chinesekiwi linked you to that store. They sell good quality stuff.

And you're right - they're much better.

The satellites are nowhere near 'Hi-Fi', but they're miles ahead of the Z5500.

More like a respectable bedroom system.

The woofer is loud and actually plays bass.
