In today's NewEgg Daily Deals, there's a RipJaws 8GB kit for $109+free shipping. Not the fastest memory at 1600mHz CL9, but it will do.

I just switched from a P45 UD3P (775) - Q9550 @ 4.0 - 2x2GB DDR2 to what you see in my system now...

I benched at 4.25 with my Q9550 and this i5-760 was = to it at 3.80....

But as many stated, if you can wait just get the new socket, pricing will be about the same for similar hardware.. Unfortunately my 775 board died and I didnt want to buy a new one, or wait for the new hardware so I just got this...

I am still happy tho...

See Vantage score below compared to the one in my sig...

No, I am telling you the opposite...

A Q9550 @ 4.25GHz is = to an i5-760 @ 3.80GHz according to my testing..

Even tho running at a slower speed its faster.. At the same clock speeds the i5-760 beats the 775 C2Q in every aspect....

But like I said, if you can wait just wait...

There is no advantage to DDR3 on a 775 board, its a waste of $...

Where in Miami? Im in Wellington (Palm Beach)
