Will keep this updated. Could be very likely that it's either stolen or broken (more likely) since seller does not say whether the laptop is in working condition.

edit: damn, so the 5870 is better than the 460M? The 460M has more VRAM though. But either way if its actually working and is only for $550 then it's amazing deal. My friend has a G73 with the 460M.

Or it could be a robbery/scam/mugging setup since prospective buyer will likely showup with that much in cash and get jumped or something....
This reminds me to add something to my sticky: More VRAM does not mean better performance. Especially if the bus width is 128 or less. If more VRAM was the only important thing then I would have bought that 4GB 6800gt I saw on newegg years ago.

Since the 5870*m* is based on the 5770 desktop model and the GTX460*M* is based on the GTS450 desktop model I would say that it is correct to say that the 460M is slower. However, as always there may be games that favor it even though it is slower.

LOL at the robbery/mugging idea. I just wonder how that works out since I would never meet anyone off of CL unless it was in a public venue. It's asking for trouble to meet somewhere not in public and people's view.
