Help! Stuck between a BENQ XL2410T (120hz, LED, 2ms) OR a 30" 2560x1600 Monitor.

TL;DR - What would I be noticeably happier with in the long run, 30" 2560x1600 or 24" @120hz, 1080p, 2ms for gaming?

So I currently have a Samsung 2433 24" 1920x1200 monitor and I was pretty happy with it until about a month ago when it got a vertical red line going up the screen. Now I'm in the hunt for a new one.

I had it narrowed down to the 30" HP LP3065 2560x1600 monitor or the 30" Samsung 305t 2560x1600. I had looked at LED monitors and 120hz monitors as well but nothing caught my eye until I saw the thread on here about the BENQ XL2410T (120hz, 2ms, LED 23.6"). Now I'm stuck between getting a 30" and the XL2410T. This would mainly be used for gaming.

Part of the problem is I don't know of any local stores in the Bay Area that have either on display so I can't really test them out. I know Fry's has the XL2410T, but I don't know if they have it on display.

Eye strain and motion blur is a factor for me and it would be a huge boon to reduce them, but I have previously owned a Samsung 2233rz 120hz 3d monitor and I can't remember if the 120hz made a difference because I used it 75% of the time for 3d, then I sold it because it was too small. I was also under the impression that LED backlighting provides lush colors and great black levels/contrast but a lot of what I've been reading says it just comes down to LCD quality.

So, I guess my question is, which would I enjoy more?
(and also, are there any bay area stores that have either of these monitors on display?)

If you enjoy 3d then the option is obvious.

A 30" destroys any 24". Period.

if you were unable to notice a difference with a 120Hz LCD before, you're not going to notice one now

to me its night and day difference between my XL2410T and U2711, but if you can't see it you might as well go big, although when I think about it there's no guarantee you'll appreciate the image quality of a high end IPS panel if you couldn't see the 2D difference of 120Hz LCD vs. 60Hz.

not for fast paced gaming

Besides, 30" panels are expensive and have generally gone up in price. For the same price, 3 quality 22-24" IPS panels could be had as well as a second video card to help drive that surround setup.

IMO the 2560 panels are more for work than they are for play
