If you're using a PC ever, you will one day leave it running when you run to the bathroom upstairs (and then get distracted by something upstairs for a few hours). A couple of those and you have a burned in plasma.

Just off the top of my head, you could pick up a LN40C500, LN40C530, or LN40C550 most likely for under 700. They're 60Hz, but if your PC gaming is online, you'll want the better response of a 60Hz (120Hz tends to delay the frames a little while it generates the extra frames).

If you're basing off plasma off than then to be quiet blunt you're not very bright. Basing a plasma off watching it at best buy where it's a brighter area than you will likely watch it won't show off the quality of any of the TVs. Watch a plasma in a dark, controlled or even normal lit area and the difference is night and day. Burn in isn't a huge concern anymore and gets blown out of proportion because people base it off plasmas 5-10 years ago and are speaking out of their ass since they don't know anything about plasmas of today. Plasmas even have burn in prevention to make sure burn in doesn't happen (Pixel Shifting). Can it still happen? Yes. Is it much harder acquire burn in? Yes. Image retention can also happen but just like burn in, it's much less likely to happen now a days.

Might want to read my post again. Every plasma at Best Buy is going to show you burn-in. I said nothing a plasma's picture quality.
