Hi that does seem a bit slow, heres mine on a fairly fresh OS install I dio have achi enabled and lots of windows stuff disabled..

Your at about 225. I'm sure if you could enable AHCI it would be fine. If you want to be sure throw it in your sig rig and bench it.

You need AHCI or RAID mode to run TRIM. You could possibly try RAID mode if you can't find an AHCI mode, though I'm not sure how that would work properly. You can change the OS drivers to AHCI (after installing OS) with a certain method I think.

I can't find AHCI or RAID anywhere in my bios.

Raid does not support Trim as far as im aware.. plenty of answers here on Ocz website http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...l=1#post567557

What is the southbridge chipset on your 790FX motherboard?
It looks like an older 790FX motherboard, perhaps it uses the SB600 southbridge - it's an older chipset and I don't think it has AHCI support.

EDIT: A quick google search told me it has AHCI support, but OS'es never really played well with this "AHCI support", and it had many problems. Perhaps it was disabled purposely in BIOS. Try different BIOS revisions (newer and/or older).
