the zalman should do fine, but its very noisy. the benefit of a better cooler would be the accustic performance---> with a d14/silverarrow/archon, you can run a 1090T@3,8GHz virtuallly inaudible...
also, you never know how hot your cpu gets/ how much voltage you need for 3,8GHz, so it's impossible to make exact predictions.

Main post edited, Hyper212+ with two fans or the Zalman CNPS10x performa. Will cost about the same but the Hyper212+ will give me less trouble (less of a drive...)
