I just put in a new psu so I could get it up and now the computer turns on all the fans go BUT it wont Post or boot or anything

I have tried another harddrive and established that isnt the problem along with the Video card

So i am asking what needs to be working for it to post

I personally think its my mobo but i'm still getting the red light

Had that problem with mine, seems to be most likely the PSU for me. All you need to boot is a CPU, RAM, Motherboard, video card, and power.

I'm gonna hit you...
And actually you don't, you can just jump the power switch pins on the motherboard

sounds like mobo 2 me. i've gone through plenty and they had the same symptoms u described. my problem was putting the RAM in too hard or something, screwed the mobo up. i'd get all the fans, lights, etc. i thought it was a video card cuz nothing came up on the screen but it was the damn mobo.
