I am so ridiculously confused right now. Please help me!

Thread Starter
I was running f4 bios on my board,

So I figured tonight I wanted to give the f6 bios a shot..... I went for it, wrote down my OC settings and to my dismay..... unstable

settings were

CR 14
NBF 8
Freq 272
HT Link 8
mem 5.33
V 1.375

Was stable for 6 months as a 24/7 365 clock on f4.

So I downgraded to f4.... and at the same settings it was at for 6 months, its now unstable.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong or what happened but it makes no sense at all to me

Any ideas to help me at all? Im so super confused by this.

any ideas are much appreciated and will be given rep if helpful

You may have missed something in settings (i.e. memory multiplier, voltage, timings)

I don't remimber setting the timings before but its possible.... if im "downclocking" the ram to compensate and leave it on auto will it tighten the timings?

No, auto will not tighten the timings; you will have to look up the timing specs of your memory kit (look at the memory DIMM or look online if you know the model number) and set the timings in the BIOS as well as the speed multiplier according to your FSB and intended RAM speed. If you leave it on auto the mobo may set inaccurate, way-too-high or way-too-low memory timings.
