Could I get even a tiny overclock out of this P31? - Page 2

lol no rep required please. I'm in a super helpful mood today

I was gonna suggest raising the speed instead of lowering the timings earlier. if you keep the timings at 5-5-5-15 and we increase the speed even by say, 40 Mhz, the improvement will be quite noticeable.

Rep's not required, but I'll give rep to whoever deserves it, and you ain't stopping me!

If I had the option to raise the RAM speed without overclocking, I'd probably have tried that instead of the timings. The problem is, I have a mighty two options of the FSB:RAM ratio: 1:1 or 1:1.2.

So at stock that's either 667MHz or 800MHz.

Now I really am going to go to bed now, but I've give some overclocking a go tomorrow. What settings do you think I should try out in order to get that speed up a bit?

Thanks

We can start with 210 fsb and we'll mess with voltages, etc a little.

210 FSB? 1470MHz clock speed?

Oh yeah, 5-5-5-12 800MHz is definitely stable as well, left it for 6h 15m on P95 last night, no errors

210*7...

I don't like that multi, but it's there and there's nothing I can do about it (besides lowering it, which would make it worse)

Will try it, bear in mind last time I tried 348 this wouldn't POST, even with increased Vcore and NB volts.
Then use 345

bump Vcore to 1.3125 or so

VTT FSB to 1.24

NB to 1.24
