Yes higher FSB = better system performance..
Why did you run 6-6-6-18 timings? Is that CL6 800MHz RAM?
You should decie if you`re up to upgrade and for what upgrade..
Well for 3.0GHz Q8200 needs 427MHz FSB and that would not be able on any P35 mobo..
And Q8200 is a low binned chip that probably has a low FSB wall and needs VERY GOOD mobo with all the right OC options in BIOS for high FSB OCing (like CPU GTL ref`s,vFSB etc..)
Yeah, I'm thinking if I do decide to upgrade the motherboard and keep the CPU it'll have to be something known for high FSB's like the UD3P, and if I decide to go with a Q6600 or something I could get away with a slightly lower FSB motherboard.
I've also realised (not sure how it took me so long to realise this) that there is no right answer for what I should upgrade to - I need to work out myself what the best option would be and then get it.
I think it's unlikely that I'll decide on staying with 775 - there are now two newer mainstream sockets which do have more stuff to offer a lot of the time.
