I know that 2x SLI can.

If you want diabetes causing eye candy you need to have more power

What do you mean "2x Crossfire?" Do you mean 2 cards in Crossfire, or 4 cards in Crossfire?

2 Crossfired cards can definitely do Eyefinity. As far as I know, and number of Crossfired 5xxx and 6xxx AMD cards can do Eyefinity, as well as single cards.

FROM EXPERIENCE...I'd recommend getting eyefinity. I have a mac with a 27inch with 2560X1400 and it's awesome clarity but nothing practical after that. This machine (sig rig) is for eyefinity and it's awesome i use 6030*1080 and i can run almost ALL games. (crysis has to be on 900P) other than that it's GREAT and WAY more cost effective than a 1000$ 27-30inch 2560*1600 monitor. Also, the higher rez monitor doesn't really give you more view just clearer, the eyefinity REALLY adds depth to your games. I'd highly recommend it. I think ur 6850 could pull off eyefinity at 900p but don't count on it pushing 3 monitors well. I used one 5870 for a few days and it couldn't REALLY do it very well so i CF'd it and now it just kills it have fun man....it'll change ur gaming life, you'll never go back to a single monitor console.

went for three of these:

^ click img to the newegg link.

1 is here, 2 are ordered and awaiting shipment from newegg. i ll just have to see what kind of adapters/ cables i need for the 3rd monitor when its time of building up.

reason being, i got all three together for sub 400 dollars including all the shipping costs and such yay, a nice xmas gift card was received.

thanks for the advice to all the folks in here once more

Single huge screen if you want it just in front of you.

Also, keep in mind that along with the larger number of screens comes a larger power bill, unless you make a conscious effort to switch off two side screens when not in use.
screw peripheral vision.

have three screens in portrait! it's BEAST!

I don't really understand why people like portrait so much... It's pretty much the same as having a single large 16:9 monitor/HDTV... I did the math on the aspect ratios and it's a very negligible amount different. Yeah, you can angle the side monitors inwards, and it's higher resolution than a single large monitor, but I think I'd rather have no bezels over a portrait setup.
