should i spend 300 on gtx 570 or 140-160 ish on a 460 1gb?

what's a decent price to buy gtx 570 @?
You can have a GTX 570 for 300$ ??? That would be a GREAT price. GET IT. The lowest i've seen for a GTX570 is 349$...
I sold my GTX 480 for 330$ last week lol.

If i could buy a GTX 570 for 300$ i'd SLI them and sell my GTX580.

Performance wise, a good price currently would be about $280.

You mean $350 right?

The GTX 470 is at the sweet spot currently for price/performance.

Seeing as they're all $350 new still... DO IT. The 460 is like a malnourished child in comparison.

I got my GTX 570 for $409 and thats $50 cheaper than the Evga. (go galaxy)
Aussie dollars .

I dont know what your currency is but that sounds cheap.
I would say go for the single most powerful cards being the GTX 570 in your case
Multi GPU setups are a hassle with games that dont support it and scaling issues so i wouldnt go with the gtx 460s in SLI even though they might outperform the GTX 570 in some games.

The GTX 570 is a great card with great performance, low heat (compared to the 400 series) and is very quiet.

Merry christmas mate

The only difference really is the cooler in that respect.

There is no real difference between the gtx 4xx and 5xx as far as heat or power.

The performance difference clock for clock between the gtx 470 and the gtx 570 is about 4%.
