We got some benchmarks of Core i5 2400, the new Sandy Bridge core with 6MB of cache 3.1GHz core clock and four cores and four threads. The Core i5 2400 also features Turbo and can run at much higher clocks than 3.1GHz, all depending on Turbo 2 conditions and current thermal environment.

Slightly Offtopic but man... This turbo boost is going to be really useful in Notebooks, it will actually help save power when considering it can be used to do something faster so that the CPU can get back to a lower idle clock faster.

Anyways, No matter how much better these CPU's maybe, I don't have a need to upgrade.

The 650 is a dual core

This is a dual core vs quad core comparison, what did you expect?

no offense, why would they compare a dual core vs a quad core? of course the quad core is going to win...

This.

I'd love to see some Sandy bridge Dual cores vs Clarkdale.

Agreed. And then a comparison of the 2600k vs a 950.

But this was just the obvious PR move so that they can claim they've made advancements. "Look our old i5 was 80% slower than this new one." You should totally upgrade because of this. LOL
