I doubt they'd be dumb enough to try charging higher prices for the cpu if they're making another socket change. They wouldn't want to risk losing more people to AMD.
Honestly, I'm surprised that Intel is even making new a quad at that price range. They must finally be getting rid of the core2 quads and not worried about this competing with the i5 760 since it's within the same price range 180-200. Though I would love for Intel to try for say...a $150 quad that has the performance and OCing capabilities of the i5 750/760. But, then again that might actually get people interested in them.
Still laughing about how Fud decided to set a dual against a quad when the i5 760 is within that price range. I just hope it's not because they already tried it and found the i5 760 equal or better than the new sandy.
