I have 3 choices so far.. Each is 800$

The line up is this so far..

1. Dell U2711

2 . Samsung 305T Plus

3. dell 3008WFP

I don't know much about monitors so im asking here..

From what i have read it shows the dell 3008WFP being the best of the 3.

The Dell 3008WFP is a great monitor, and looks fantastic. I would recommend that out of the 3.

I voted Dell 3008. I would have voted for the 2711 but that's not a 30" monitor and the 30" version of it is v-expensive.

This.

You won't notice the 3" difference, and you will get much better colour depth and accuracy as a result.

I say go for the U2711. I had both the U2711 and the 3008WFP and I didn't like how I noticed the pixels on the 30008WFP display while gaming or net browsing...I turned on AA to at least 2x. Also the display just seems too big and overwhelming for a PC setup and the relative distance from my eyes to the display. The U2711 on the other hand was perfect in terms of the size of the display and the distance of my eyes while doing my thing on the PC. The condensed pixels on the 27" just made things look more sharper and I rarely used AA. Plus the U2711 is newer technology. Oh and your GPU wont have to render the extra 160 vertical pixels @ 2560x1440, better FPS!

Provantage has them at $827, but you're paying $900 by the time it's shipped.
