I need an AMD configuration thats around $400

So my dad finally got interested in this new world called the Internet and he asked me to build him a PC that is around $300. He is mainly going to play online backgammon, watch 1080p video, and e-mail. I might also game a little on it, but nothing hardcore. Since it is going to cost around $300 or so, AMD is the way to go. Here are my minimum requirements:

CPU: at least Dual-Core, possibly the Athlon II X2 240
Mobo: AM3 DDR3, mATX preferred
GPU: a good GPU thats plays games like GTA IV at al least 1024x768 on medium settings (I thought about the HD 4550)
PSU: 400w
HDD: at least 500Gb
Ram: 1x2Gb or more
The case and the rest: You decide, but remember its more like a HTPC than a full tower rig

I want to see what you guys can come up with since there might be some combo deals going on or sites other than newegg.
EDIT: Its going to be sitting on my dad's TV stand so obviously something small and not so loud.

UPDATE
I have saved up a few bucks over the past couple of months and decided to sell my laptop to my father. To be very honest, the most powerful graphics card in my whole entire house is Intel X4500MHD, which isn't even capable of running MW2 on comfortable settings. In the end I will rack up around $400. I want to see what you guys can come up with because I'm having a little trouble. The PC must do the following:
-Play 1080p
-Processor must have at least 3 cores
-Able to play GTA IV on medium-high, All Cod games on high (with the exception of BO)
-Prefer 800 chipset

I heard that crossfire HD 4670's preform quite well for the money, but I prefer nvidia

I do not need an OS, mouse, keyboard, or screen, only the rig

Let me see what you guys can come up!!

Thats a funny joke

That rig that you have right there is gonna cost at the very least 400$ and gta will slaughter it.

The HD 4550 can play GTA at 800x600 with high render quality and textures, so medium at 720p sound good. I have seen quality low wattage PSU's for around $40 and ram is getting really cheap these days, so $300 looks like a good price point for my requirements.

my old 9800gt and phenomIIx4 940 @ 3.4 couldn't play it at those settings so i dont see how your 4550 and dual core possibly could.

@Maxhudson,
have u gone mad??
Its imposiblle to build a rig(that can play gta4) with monitor, mouse, keyboard,os for under $300

@OP,if u also need the above mentioned components for under $300 then u should give up hope for playing gta4

I agree with Aniket, that budget is far too low.
