Probably a long shot.
You'd have more luck with a C3 Phenom X2 555

Thanks guys, im kind of a noobie in this, but my goal is to build a budget pc for high end gaming. My current pc is a compaq presario with an oem intel dual core 2.8 ghz cpu, and pci 1.1 with absolutley no potential anymore lol

Im basically gonna build a whole brand new computer. The only things I plan on reusing to save money if possible is my current DVD drive, and hard drive. Does anybody know of a budget cpu that can be overclocked to 4 ghz and be stable?

Nice this is actually affordable.

Would this cpu be compatible with the MSI 870-G45 motherboard? it says it supports it, but i'd be nice to have expert advise
