Thread Starter
I'm looking into buying some headphones. I generally listen to deadmau5,some rock but overall music with bass. Also I will be using them for gaming I am currently using on board audio. My current budget is $50. Thanks

Edit.
I would also like some over the ear headphones.

Codex from CD?

From what I've read, basically anything sub 75$ or so is the same quality. IMO, just fiind a nice pair of Sony's or the like for 20-50. I'm using jvc marshmallows and they suck compared to the 20$ pair of sony in ear headphones. They also make over ear ones that work really well but never seemed to last me long as they'd get stretched too much. However, everyone else I know that has/had them had them for over a year (which never happens for me).

brainwavz M2 and M3 are the best bang for the buck, Around 50-70

I bought brainwavz pro alphas very very similar to brainwavs m2's,

http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/...m3-added-12-20

Over the ear as in cans? Or like the cord goes over the ear?

For IEM i suggest brainwavz pro alphas, i did a short review linked in my signature.

These things QUAKE for bass filled music too though. I've owned the sennheiser 201's and 202's. I prefer these HANDS DOWN.

I bought this Sennheiser PC 151 headset yesterday, kinda a impulse buy while out Christmas shopping.
Really was not sure if I was going to keep, or return them. After playing BC2 with friends last night, decided to keep them.

Sound was awesome, comfortable, and zero complaints from friends about my voice quality.
I paid fifty for them at Comp USA out by me, could not find them on there site.
Here they are on Newegg, but out of stock. Maybe you could pick em up elsewhere.

For IEM go with Monster Turbine http://www.monstercable.com/holiday/...fault.asp#null

Only $40+6 shipping

If you don't want that, go with MEElec M6. Great for bass/electronica

The only choice for headphones is JVC RX700
