Getting a 570... What brand?

Thread Starter
Been a while since I've used these forums, mostly because for the past few months I've found a hobby that blinded me to striving for computer performance... and that hobby was Starcraft.

However, though I still love Starcraft, it is time to rearrange my priorities again.

As the time has passed, my trusty GTX 275 has proved itself time and time again, but I believe it is time for an upgrade. What better time than Christmas?

So I've decided on the GTX 570 based on its reviews and price, but what I haven't been able to read a lot on is brand. Are there any special brands in your guys's experience that can overclock better, or should I just go for EVGA which has always had awesome customer service towards me, though the overclockability on the current EVGA card I have (The 275), has been less than what I expected and was hoping for.

Whatever brand you can get the cheapest.

Actually, since they're all reference models and all pretty much the same price right now, I'd say go with one with the best warranty / support. EVGA has a lifetime warranty which is nice.

Agree

EVGA if you are going to keep the card until you die.

Asus if you want higher resale value.

IMO they have the same customer service or Asus is slightly better.

Well EVGA is lifetime warranty....
but other than that GIGABYTE and ASUS are also great choices.
Whatever is cheapest ... out of those three.

eVGA has the best warranty if you plan on keeping the card for yourself.

Sparkle also offers lifetime warranty, but their warranty terms sound kinda' iffy.

I'd say go with one of three companies, asus, gigabyte, or msi. They all have a great rma service and all come with transferable 3 year warranties, which means higher resale value. Then, between those three chose the one that is cheapest or has the most features. I've owned video cards from all three and I have to say either asus or msi is my favorite. But msi has the best overclocking software available, afterburner.

Pick whichever suits your needs, but personally I would stick with those three companies.
