Is purified water OK to use?

My local grocery mart only sells "purified" as opposed to "distilled". Is purified safe to use?

it may not be, check to see if it has minerals, this is something you want to avoid. Do you have a Wal-Mart near by or a pharmacy (Walgreens?)? You can find it there too.

Purified water usually have minerals.
I'm not sure about your city but I got my 4L for .85$ in food basics.

It depends, if it's reverse-osmosis purified, and nothing is added afterwards, then yes, it is safe.
The easy way to check: buy some, and boil it down, if you get any residue, then don't use it.

purified is for drinking. its used for soft drinks and exc.
distilled is for radiators so that it wont corroed or create alge in the metal.

if you are going to used distilled water, make sure that you use it 50/50 coolant

Use 100% distilled + a silver killcoil or a biocide like pt nuke.

Imo mixing coolant+distilled can clog your water blocks.

There's a TON of minerals in drinking water / "purified" water. These minerals can end up coating everything in a cruddy residue. Use distilled along with a biocide as recommended above. Unless you plan on taking everything apart in 6 months and scrubbing everything down with ketchup and a toothbrush (no joke).
