When is push/pull not beneficial? lol I'm sure it has to improve cooling, doesn't it? I can get an extra TY-140 for $10, anyways. If it will help, that is.

You can get by with one fan with the Archon, the cooler is that good smile.gif

But two fans is always better than one.

That's what I figured. A friend of mine is using one with the single stock fan and is getting great temps but I'm sure adding another will definitely improve it and for $10, why not. ^_^

With the Archon, my Case states that its maximum cooler height limit is 180mm. The Archon is 170mm which means it will basically leave ~ 3/8" between the top of the cooler and my side panel. Would this cause any trouble whatsoever or as long as the Case will close, is everything fine? smile.gif

I've seen several tests now where the Archon bested the Silver Arrow. That is beyond impressive since the D14, formerly the King of Air Cooling, is normally defeated or at least matched by the SA. That is too good to pass up as long as it will work in my Case. The extremely downsized width between the Archon and the other two is an extreme plus in my book. It makes me much more comfortable buying it when it won't be rendering RAM slots useless.

I, unfortunately, have to wait a week or so until I receive the H50 and AP-15's and then Return them with a Prepaid Label to receive a refund before I pick up my Archon and extra TY-140. This is extremely aggravating since it hasn't even shipped yet and won't until Monday. -_- However, going with the extra TY-140 instead of the AP-15's will drop the cost to around $89 + Shipping so I should come out under $100 for both which is definitely acceptable if it will outperform the H50 as much as you guys are suggesting.

My final question, for now haha, is how much of a difference will there be in temp between the Archon with 2x TY-140's in P/P and with 2x AP-15's in P/P? If it's drastic, I might consider keeping them. If it's barely even noticeable, then I'll definitely just keep my extra $30. hehe

It isn't going to be much, and the AP15s might even lose since the Archon is designed for 140mm fans. However, no one is going to be able to give you a definite answer unless they have used both setups. Like I said, I would go with the TY-140s since they will be quieter.

According to that xbit review I've linked below, 2 fans in push pull improved temps by 4C over a single fan, which IMO is significant considering it doesn't increase the noise level very much.

im was talking about noise/temp ratio. but yes, you will get better temps by ~2°Cs...
but personally i like my pc as quiet as possible and hate the whiny sound of a p/p configuration, so for me it wouldnt be worth it...
if you dont care about that, than definately buy a second ty 140 and you are fine wink.gif

99% of the time I have Music Playing and/or the TV on so it would take an extremely loud noise for me to even hear it. lol I even sleep with my TV on so I'm assuming that noise isn't going to be an option unless it is something outrageous. smile.gif

Anyone found the Archon cooler on sale here in EU? Would it be worth getting over the V10?

Ah I was looking at the wrong part of the graph, but it wasn't 1 degree, it was 2 degrees or more at every fan speed.

I have no idea if it is available in the EU yet, but it is without a doubt better than the V10.
