Zalman CNPS10X Extreme vs. Zalman CNPS9900 MAX - Page 3

i would say the CNPS9900, when i was looking for a cpu cooler i was doing research and a group of reviewers who test cpu coolers have only found one cooler (cant remember the name) which could beat the zalmans cooling power and it only beat it by 0.1degrees.

I dont know where people get the idea that the zalmans are expensive from, its one of the cheapest ive ever seen, an akasa evo blue for example is £40 and the CNPS9900 is only £34 yet the CNPS9900 cools my q9450 well enough to do 65degrees absolute max with it at 3.33ghz while when my bro had it and is was at only 3.2ghz it would go to 77degrees on the akasa.

Amazon.com: Zalman Performa Cpu Cooler: Electronics

It owns Hyper 212 and Dark Knight easily

my CPU nevers go above 45c...and with the fan spinning at 900rpm
+1

I picked up my Zalman Performa on sale from Amazon a couple months ago for $30 shipped

Running my new rig with it, a Intel i5 2500K @ 4.8 GHz / 1.375v & it never got over 65C stress testing prime95 over 8+ hrs.

I had a Performa with my 1090T and it was a pretty solid HSF. I switched out the fans for 2x2000 RPM Scythe UltraKazes and my Thuban was pretty cool on temps.
