The 6950 is well enough for that resolution.

The GTX 570 is faster though, but is not needed for this situation.

For that res, even a 6850 is fine, don't waste your money tongue.gif
But go for the 6950 if you really want to, it's cheaper and will max out every game tongue.gif

If you're planning on keeping your monitor and desktop the way it is for at least another year or two, then for your resolution and budget, the 6950 will be more than sufficient. AMD has a real competitive edge in that ~$300 price bracket so it will last you for some time without breaking the bank too badly. wink.gif

Make sure you send the money to pick a high quality PSU from the likes of Antec, Corsair, Enermax, Seasonic, etc. A strong unit with ample headroom will last you throughout several computer builds, assuming you don't all of a sudden go all out and build a Tri/Quad-Fire/SLI monster. biggrin.gif

The 6950 will be fine for that resolution, however obviously the 570 will run faster. It's a more expensive card.

You will be able to game with no hitches using maximum settings at that resolution (excluding games like Metro and Crysis, obviously). I just ordered a 570 for my resolution but that's purely because I had money to spare.

If I were you I'd o with the 6950, definitely, for that resolution. Any higher and I'd get a 570.
