Anthlon II x2 OC and safe?

hi noob here
so im the type that is shoot 1st then ask questions later, after building my..."random black friday sale" PC i found that i can do stuff with it...and i did...the spec is Anthlon IIx2 3.750@140v (NB-250@122v, Freq.@2500Mhz HT link @2500, CPU PLL@250v) this is on a MOBO that does not have Mosfet cooling and stock cpu and heatsink fan, i used CPUIDHW to get the temp, after checking through the forum seems like decent # and without benchmarking seems like it is stable (i use battlefield BC2 to test the system on medium setting at 1240x720) boot ok and run smooth...so the question
is it really ok...does any # seems out of place...if any vet can give me some other (better) spec that i can try please i'm all ears,
overall i'm ok with the system with the way it is, i didn't think i can do this with a system that is less then $300(after rebates), but i dont have money to build another until next blackfriday so i have save these settings in one of the slot in my bios and currently running on Optimized defaults to keep my hardware from burning out, atleast until i get some solid answers,
please i have done the research (that's how i got this far) but i lack experience and detail information to go any further please help (I AM BEGGING) thanx a bunch

I have the same CPU at the same clock. The best advice I can give you is to lower the HT-link frequency- HT 2.0Ghz is actually faster than HT 2.5Ghz

will do, i read an article that confirms that...
anyone else want to jump in
i just need finger pointing, i'll do the research,
is "overvolting" really that bad, and how much is too much is 140v instead of 136v too much?
and anyone think i should try and get the NB higher w/o the heatsinks raise your hand?

and thank you mr Ronin...you are a gentlemen and a scholar.

You are very welcome . The max sane voltage for a Ragor is 1.6. Anything higher is a disaster waiting to happen Even at 1.6 you can expect the CPU life to shorten. And with that I'm off Happy hollidays
