Dual cores are still dual and quads are still quads ect. 1 thread per core.

If the rumors about no more AMD CPU + SLI are true, it's gonna be a tough call. I can either say goodbye to nVidia, or say goodbye to AMD CPUs. I don't want to deal with any hacked drivers or any of that.

Don't worry, I'm sure ASUS, MSI and ZOTAC will make AM3+ motherboards with an NVIDIA chipset. ASUS and MSI will make one with the 980a chipset and Zotac will probably use the GeForce 8300 chipset. Hehe, that's the advantage of HyperTransport they could use the nForce 4 chipset if they wanted too, but the performance penalties would be massive. So don't worry, there will be at LEAST one motherboard manufacturer with an AM3+ NVIDIA motherboard.

i did? lol!! i was hoping ppl could also help me with the code names more or less haha. i want to know when the phenom line is coming out or what the code name for it is so i can get an understanding of the road maps. soz dude.

all i know is i plan on getting the phenom that is priced at around $200 aus and something like the ud5 so i can xfire and have a physx card
