right i found this bit in your manual, now which one is closest to what your pc duz

Q: What do the beeps emitted during the POST mean?
A: The following Award BIOS beep code descriptions may help you identify possible computer problems.
(For reference only.)
1 short: System boots successfully
2 short: CMOS setting error
1 long, 1 short: Memory or motherboard error
1 long, 2 short: Monitor or graphics card error
1 long, 3 short: Keyboard error
1 long, 9 short: BIOS ROM error
Continuous long beeps: Graphics card not inserted properly
Continuous short beeps: Power error

aslo go here and fill in your system details, it will stop you having to write in your system if you have other problems in the futre

Well what has happened is that it has stopped beeping on boot but it was 1 long and 9 short I think. And will do about the signature thing.

i've tried to find something on fixing a bios rom error but all the solutions involve booting into the bios menu which obviously you cant do.
theres only one more thing i can think of and this is because you said its your 1st build, Are you using the standoffs that came with the board/case when you mounted the mobo? if you havent it could be causing a short which would give the problems your having.

i havent read the whole thing but maybe the answer is in there.
i did read alittle of the 1st one and it said that the aftermarket cpu cooler was putting too much pressure on the cpu which stopped it booting
