How do you like it? Not a single store nearby carries it, so I can't test it. The buttons well placed? Is it a good one for palm gripping? I love my MX Revolution, but the new Performance MX doesn't fit me well.

I used one for a bit. Along with Roccat Kone+, the G700 was the most comfortable mouse for my hand. The G700 is actually a little larger than the G500, and is just a little bit shorter than a Roccat Kone+, but is about the same length and width. I liked it very much, and it has the A9500 sensor which I feel is the best mouse sensor on the market.

Note that I use a palm grip.

So the grip is similar to the G500? I really liked how that one felt.

How was the battery life for gaming?

I didn't use it for an extended period, but I know the guy who owned it said that the battery life was really good, sadly I don't have a true quantitative value for it.

The G700 is similar in shape to the G500. However, its a little taller than the G500, which I like.

Yeah I've had my 1st gen G5 for almost 5 years now. I'm a palm gripper myself, and Logitech seem to have the best designed palm grip mice. I had a chance to get a G700 for $60 last week but passed because of all of the reviews I've heard of poor battery life. Some say as low as 3-4 hours max for intense gaming. That just wasn't acceptable to me.

The thing is though, there aren't really any other mice with the same ergonomics + multiple buttons + solid wireless out there... I will probably pick one up though when it goes back on sale.

I have the G700 and love how comfortable it is. However, I am puzzled on how to actually program some of the G Keys. I read somewhere in order to use the G keys, you have to program the G keys on your keyboard (what if someone doesn't have a G style keyboard) so it can work on the mouse. That semi worked for me for Black Ops. Didn't work at all for BFBC2. The SetPoint software that I downloaded for the mouse provides absolutely no help. Anyone run into issues when trying to customize the keys?

E_Man, the little "ledge" where your thumb sits, is much shorter on the G700 compared to the MX Revolution. I really fell in love with the MX at Staples and almost bought that instead. However, some users online said it could not be used for gaming, even though some tried. I was afraid that the G700 wouldn't be as comfortable, but it sure is. It is by far the best mouse I've ever used, especially for long periods of time. The buttons are nicely placed, now if only I can figure out how to program them.

Figured out how to actually edit the buttons with the SetPoint software. I was double clicking the mouse icon (Mouse and Keyboard Settings)in my systray thinking that was the full program when in fact it was just an overview. Program files>Logitech>G9x, G500 and G700 Gaming Mice is where I needed to go.. Oops.. lol.

I have had mine for about a week now as a replacement for my beloved G9x that died a few weeks back and love it. All the buttons can be re programed except the one directly behind the scroll wheel. It is a little heavier then the G9x with mid weights. It has good battery life for a gaming mouse but you can plug it in at any time to charge it and switch to corded mode. The little lights on the side 3 purposes 1st which profile is currently selected 2nd DPI settings and 3rd battery life left. I also have it set for 1000 reports a second so that might be why my battery life is at 20 or so hours.
