The G700 is similar in shape to the G500. However, its a little taller than the G500, which I like.
Sounds like a good feeling mouse

That just wasn't acceptable to me.

The thing is though, there aren't really any other mice with the same ergonomics + multiple buttons + solid wireless out there... I will probably pick one up though when it goes back on sale.
I think you can plug it in when gaming to play on as a wired mouse.

It is by far the best mouse I've ever used, especially for long periods of time. The buttons are nicely placed, now if only I can figure out how to program them.
Yeah, I never actually rest my thumb there anyway. It's usually resting on the thumb wheel.

So anyone know if it's on sale anywhere?

Edit: Best deal I can find is $75 at amazon with prime shipping.

I have the G700 since release, and its a pretty good wireless gaming mice compared to the rest that I have own (G7, Mamba, and X8). The "ledge" curve spot is pretty comfortable for your thumb to rest on.

The battery is ok. There's some options to help save battery life at the cost of responsive time; there's power saver, normal, and max gaming. There are options like getting a higher capacity rechargeable battery 2600mah which will give you more.

The shape is pretty much like the G500, G7, MX518 shape, but actually the shape is based off the Performance Mouse MX.

For the custom button layout, I didnt config anything except for the back and forward buttons. I think it mainly due to the fact that only a few mouses that have loads of buttons; Razer Naga and this G700.

Previously, I had used the Razer Mamba and when I first used the G700, the shape took some time getting used. For me, it took like a month. Yes, it was uncomfortable experience, but it bought back memories when I upgraded from a Razer BoomSlang to a G7. I think its best to stay within the same brand with regards to overall shape design.

I think Amazon currently does have the best deal on the G700. The original price is $100, but i think the sale price that seen everywhere is around $85. The lowest that I got it for was $60.
