What to get...

Got a $25 gift card to GameStop. I was thinking GT5 but that would require me to spend another $40 of my cash and I don't want to do that as I'm trying to save up money for a 2 week trip to see my girlfriend.

Games I were looking at were Fallout NV or Borderlands but I'm not sure which way to go.

Anyone got some suggestions? Feel free to throw anything at me!

Edit: Also... MERRY CHRISTMAS! If you don't celebrate that particular holiday then... HAPPY HOLIDAYS! (:

Sell it, and add $20 more on that and you can buy used GT5 as I did for $45.

Between borderlands and Fallout it depends on if you want to play with your friends or if you want a more in depth solo RPG campaign like Fallout.

Only played the original God of War for PS2 but I was young and couldn't get into it. I asked my brother if I could borrow the God of War collection for PS3. If I get into them then I may buy GoW 3 or at least rent.

GT5 is definitely in my top 2. It's a huge exclusive that's really turning heads. However, I'm not much of a race guy but I love cars!

Between Fallout NV and Borderlands I REALLY got into Fallout 3. I got a free hour from PS Plus for Borderlands and I loved it. It's different and seems like more of a challenge.

Here's my problem with making the final decision. My sister and I (both not having jobs atm) decided to give each other something small for Christmas. I gave her a movie and she got me a Blu Ray and a 1 month free trial of Blockbuster's Game Pass. So, I'm leaning towards renting and beating GoW 3, Fallout NV, and Borderlands then buying GT5. The only problem is I'd want to get FNV again if they come out with DLC lol

I'll try to make my decision and make it carefully. Cheers and +REP to all!

Something unique to Borderlands is it's multiplayer component. I've just picked up the game last week for PS3 and have had a blast online just playing with randoms, going through quests, fighting bosses, and having duels.

I also really like the way the controls of the game feel like an FPS, which is something I did not like about Fallout 3. I personally don't like the VAT system.

I think both games provide hours upon hours of exploration, but where Borderlands has the edge is multiplayer.
