sometime this week I have to pick a new phone out, I currently have a BlackBerry Tour, please help me choose a replacement, I am switching because I have alltel and they have been bought out by AT&T in my area.

It is a free phone switch to their network so I am not spending a single dime here at all, just have to change phones.

here are my options (in no particular order) please give a reason you think one is better over the others as well if you can to help me decide.

BlackBerry Torch
BlackBerry Curve 3G
HTC Aria
Samsung Capativate
Samsung Focus
LG Quantum
HTC surround

is it wi-fi capable? not that it matters much I just wondered, some places i've read its not and others say it is, either way not really a feature that matters much to me really sence im rarely near a wi-fi hotspot.

My brother has the Captivate from ATT, my wife has the Fasinate from Verizon, pretty much the same phone... they love em...

My mother-in-law has the Torch... I have screwed around with the Torcha and like it, the operating system is different then what your running on BB now. The Fasinate is awesome though... the screen is amazing, the video recorder is HD, the camera is so good we dont bother with our Fine-pix anymore...

Good luck w/ your choice...

I have a year old 8330 curve, love it but envious of the wifes andriod...

anything with android, other than that, go with your personal preference(keyboard, layout, size, screen, megapixel,) .

the aria was my first thought sense i have heard good things about HTC's quality, but it is a tad small for my hand, initially i worried about fitting in my pocket, but heck my phone is always clipped to my visor anyway in the car or on the table in the house. only in my pocket in stores so kind of a non issue.

I don't know if they make amended phone that does not have wifi. Out of those choices I vote captivate, my droid is running 2.3 and makes me like it again.
