As I thought, you will come close to double or double on most of the write categories, but like I stated before that you only write once so it's not as big of a deal as with the read, but it is still worth mentioning.

Personally, I don't think it is worth a new SSD quite yet, but if you have the money why not. You won't see a night and day difference I don't believe, but your 4k reads would improve by close to 50%.

I will discuss file sizes and SSDs performance..for maybe the thousand time

To make it really simple you have big file, like a movie or something and smaller files like..a small files...DLLs etc. The big advertised numbers you see are sequential writes/reads..also known as big file read/writes. Now, while these may be important, they are no where near as important as the smaller files read/writes, also known as 4k speeds. The companies just advertise the sequential read/writes since they are the ones that reach the highest speeds, but they are not as important so it is kinda like they are misleading you..no, they are misleading you.

So, for the most part the SSD, as an OS drive will do far more 4k read/writes than sequential. This is simply because there are more smaller files than big ones. If you look at a program..what ever it may be, firefox, quicken, windows, my little pony the game, you can see that they are made up of smaller files instead of just 2 or 3 huge files. This is kinda why 4k writes/reads are more important than sequential.

The C300, the SSD that uses the new Marvell controller has the fastest 4k read/writes of all. This is why it is simply the best SSD out today. Yes, the sandforce might have faster sequential writes sometimes, but how many times do you write on an OS drive..once when you install and maybe a few other times, not near as much as when you read.

I am just getting long winded and it seems like I am blabbering, but to make it simple, 4k read/writes are more important since that is what the drive does far more often than sequential read/writes. The C300 has better 4k reads/writes than all thus it is KING SSD.

If you want me to explain more I will be more than happy to do so
Thanks to ZippoMan to referring me to this post(http://forum.notebookreview.com/
Your information REALLY helped me out, for I am in the process of researching which SSD to buy and you cleared up alot of questions for me...
Thanks Again
