GTX470 SLI Low Usage (In all games) - Page 3

New development in 3DMark11...

All the GPU tests were pegged at 100% usage, and so was the physics test on my processor. Then, at the combined test, the FPS plummeted. I look at GPU usage and both were around 50%, and then surprisingly I looked at CPU usage and it was at 50% as well.

What would cause that?

Lol that was quick.

Nice avatar btw, Sub Focus is without a doubt the best drum and bass producer/DJ right now (followed closely by Noisia and TC).

Sub Focus is awesome.

Anyway, I just played some Crysis Warhead and got even better results with both GPUs around 95%. Looks like 265.90 drivers really helped.

I had already tried the SLI Hack beforehand with 265.90 but it didn't work, and then I remember that version 1.0 of the SLI hack had come out and I used that this time instead. Worked without a hitch.

Nice to hear mate.

265.90 set is without a doubt the best driver set for Fermi based cards.

lol @ the intel fanboy's.

It's gone beyond annoying to a new level of pathetic anymore.

Single gtx 470 on air reaches top levels posted on weak 1090T, Futuremark will fix this issue via "Intel" patch in which all benchmarks are single threaded once again.

OK, problem NOT solved. I updated the thread with this info:

For some reason, SLI usage jumps around in my games. For example, in Crysis when I look out across the water GPU usages approaches 100%, but as soon as I turn around and look at trees and mountains and such my FPS drops and my GPU usage drops down to about 50%. It doesn't make sense. Any help?
