Well is Microsoft Security Essentials free also? It seems that most you guys say that that's the best. Or is Free AVG better? I know Free AVG is totaly free but wanted to know if Microsoft Security Essentials is totaly free also.

I remember this but around 7 years agao when I was still in high school all of the computers there were using Norton for antivirus so I thought it was a good program to use. But maybe that has changed?

I use AVG and I run a global script block on every web page. If I have to, I set permissions for web pages as I visit them.

The only thing Norton is good at is slowing your computer down.
As far as what AV to use, take your pick, but stay away from the people that get packaged with new computers, ISPs, etc, etc.
MSE is a very good free solution, as far as paid, I would recommend Kaspersky AV, but anything other than Norton, McAffee, etc, will do great.

Is Kaspersky better than MSE or AVG? I just want to know which is the best to use and the most popular.

How about Trend? I know that there basic AntiVirus is not that expensive. But if Kaspersky, AVG, MSE is better than I will use them. But first I need to know which is the best.
