How many of you guys bought one at $70? [crickets chirping] How many of you bought one at under $50? [all hands go up] I picked up a CX400 as a spare for $20 after rebate with free shipping. Again, Redbeard can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm positive that $20 is well below Corsair's cost, let alone anything Newegg wanted to make on top of that.

The CX400 went away because nobody wanted it... when it was priced to not incur a loss.

Do you work here? Your analysis is just about spot on. Although I think the CX400 was $59.99 MSRP compared to the CX430's $49.99 MSRP, it sounds like only $10, but right now the CX430 is $43.99 with a $20 Mail-In Rebate, and I'd argue it's the best $24 PSU you can buy.

Try recommending any Antec power supply, or anything other than Corsair or SeaSonic, on TechSupportForum.com. (pssst: Guess why I don't post there anymore. Answer: I'm banned!)

The *first* time I got banned was for suggesting that a Phenom II X4 + 4350 didn't need a 650W power supply. Then they banned me from the hardware section and I worked on the games team for a while.

Then when I came back and posted the Corsair CX430 stuff one of them accused me of working for Antec because I suggested the TP-750 in lieu of the TX750, and he threatened to IP ban me.

I have got a Corsair VX550 (550W) PSU. I am looking to purchase a Sapphire HD5570. Is this okay or should i upgrade to a stronger PSU?

Thanks.
