Where is the UD7 - 1156 Motherboard ? and other high end

Hey,

I recently bought 2x6970s and my heatsink (Noctua's touches the primary videocard). I really do not want to get a new motherboard. I was planning to transition into 2011 motherboards (in 2012...or whenever they come out). I will be skipping sandybridge. I do not want to buy another CPU. I want to use my i5-750 for now. It is already overclocked at 4.0 Ghz using my Asus p7p55d-pro motherboard.

I am curious about Gigabyte p55a-UD7 motherboard? Where can I find it online. I do a google search...but it is not providing me with the best results.

Did they stop producing these motherboards?

If anyone has any other recommendation - let me know.

Thanks,

sarien

Why do you want a motherboard that expensive? Just keep what you have. I doubt you'll get any performance increase by switching to the UD7.

I'm unsure what you're looking for to be honest, if your motherboard is just fine the way it is.

I really want to keep my motherboard. But my Noctua is touching the back plate of the videocard.

If that is fine, then i am happy. I was told that could short my video cards. I just don't want to ruin those expensive videocards

Suggestions?

Yeah, return the Noctua and get a cooler that isn't the size of a sack of bricks.

Try an H50. Or maybe even get Megahalems or a Dark Knight, anything bout that brick.

You can cover the parts that are touching with some electrical tape (ghetto) or try to rotate the heatsink 90 degrees.
