$600 Budget laptop for general use.

Thread Starter
Hi. I'm looking for a laptop in the range of about $600 or less (or possibly slightly more if it's worth it) for things like web surfing, music playing and general computer use. Gaming not required. Considering all sizes but something in the range of 15" or maybe a bit smaller would be preferred.

I'm not against doing my own research but I'm new to laptops and a little overwhelmed by all that's out there. Feel free to throw more than one suggestion at me to look into.

Honestly that's a pretty good deal. I've got an Asus laptop and it's really solid. The minimum processor I'd recommend is a Core i3 but I'd say that's in your price range. Core i3 + 4Gb of ram there should be quite a few good options out there to pick from. You shouldn't have to use your entire budget.
