Boxing day - Buying this build tell me if its good. Need Final Critique

Thread Starter
Buying the following build tomarrow. I wish to buy all parts from canadacomputers www.canadacomputers.com

I would like to ask if there is anything I could change or should change that is available on the website.

Also if you know a good deal for the same items somewhere else please let me know as the store will price match if its a valid dealer in Canada.

Any help is most appreciated in advance.

[quotemsg=1949850,3,765143]Similar to my build... It's by no means over the top high end gaming, but will keep up with the best of em and stay on a budget.

Asus P6X58D-E Socket 1366 Intel X58

Intel Core i7 950

2 x EVGA GeForce GTX 460

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series DDR3 1600MHz (possibly check this out to ensure compatibility, I have different but hear this is better)

Western Digital Caviar Black (Couldn't fing Samsung Spinpoint F3 on requested site)

Corsair HX Series CMPSU-850HX 850W

Cooler Master HAF X Full Tower Gaming Case (see below)

Sony DDU1681S-0B Black SATA DVD ROM (or what ever cheap one you'd prefer)

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus (no expert on OCing... Have a few friends that use/recommend this one.)

One thing I would stress to anyone buying a HAF X.... go and check the thing out at a retail outlet if possible 1st. The thing is absolutely massive! A really nice quality build for sure, but having built on 1 recently.... It's just massive.

I like the HAF 922, but check it out, it might be missing a few of things you were wanting on the HAF X :

The only other thing would be the 2 x gtx 460s. ATM it's a really well priced bang for buck solution... But there are newer cards out now ATI 6xxxx series and nVidia 5xx series. Going SLI from the start removes an upgrade path later on (depends if you care)

Good Luck![/quotemsg]

Have you cross checked with newegg.ca? CanadaComputers doesn't have the best prices

I'm sure they're going to have deals tomorrow, also, you may be better off with a Single GTX 570 or 470 like this one:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...-513-_-Product

It comes with a $35 rebate

I would also go with this cooler

Everything else looks fine, one last thing, why don't you wait for Sandy Bridge to come out?

It's coming out on the 6th, and some chips may be better than the 950.

Check out this thread:

You can buy everything else except for the Mobo, CPU, Ram, if I were in your shoes, that's what I would do.
