Triple Channel will do nothing for an AMD system, as that's only on Intel 1366 platforms... Do the research

Yes, triple channel will actually only make things worse; why: AMD has no triple channel support, it'll default to single channel.
Don't pair the x6 with that motherboard, with an unheatsinked 4+1 you are asking for board death; the x6 is very heavy on the mosfets as it is, and it gets worse with overclocking.

hd's are transferable. You can literally pull from one system to another and have access to all data

However, a OS drive won't function as a os drive (but all data will be there) unless all chipsets and drivers are installed. Basically a OS needs to be reinstalled with a new mb

Good Asus Mobo Good OC. cheaper than CIV. if you get a good after market heat sink you can get atleast 4ghz on A x6

@CravinR1: This is not always true, sometimes you can transfer MB's successfully without reinstalling (provided you install the correct drivers after) but I also highly recommend you do so.

Yes your HDD will work but may require you reinstall your OS, which is always a good idea anyway when changing mobo's.
Are you planning on OC'ing this board? Be aware even though it supports a 125w CPU it only has 4 to 1 power connection (not the best for OC'ing) especially with a high powered Hex. I also noticed it doesn't have any heat sinks over the mosfets which could also become a big concern when raising voltages.
One other thing is the SB HS is very small, and being this board is a micro atx, heat will definitely be building up. It would do just fine for stock settings but I've learned from my previous rig (M4A785-M) which is similar but has DDR2, that when you start pushing a OC it will get hot (especially with a 125w Hex core) and would be another weak link if you're planning to OC.
So yes it will work, but bare in mind, this mobo is basically a budget board and as long as you treat as such should be ok. That's my
