im not looking to overclock or anything, just using stock speeds. i dont know that much about computers, but i do know enough on how to build one and stuff, just figured id double check with you guys here. so this is a bad idea, correct? find a new mobo?

Yeah, don't run a 125W with a 4+1, heatsinked or unheastinked; they've blown up whether which one on 125W processors before, especially overclocked and especially on MSI boards.
However, the board suggested is twice the price, perhaps I might make another suggestion: ASUS M4A79XTD EVO for $99, 84 AR. There is usually a vDroop on it that makes it challenging to overclock but it's a great board. There are many combo deals for this board and other things that may allow you to save more.
