Registry editing mistake. WTH did I do!?

ASUS PT6WS Pro MB, Core I7 overclocked to 4GHz, 6G DDR3

I decided to speed up my system boot so I followed Hotdog's XP tweeking guide (http://www.overclock.net/windows/983...ing-guide.html). I have XP Pro 64, but it's the same minus a few of the keys don't exist. Anywhoo, I finished with all the steps applicable to Pro, minus 2 or 3 I didn't want to do, and the boot up time is quicker.

Here's my problem:

Right after the initial startup (ASUS logo, BIOS, disc and RAID check) screen, it used to display the Windows logo with the 'status' bar below it, then go to the Windows is starting up screen. Now, no Windows logo. Instead, after it does the check for RAID and virtual disc, the screen background stays black and it runs down a list of C drive windows programs. It then switches to a blue screen that says Microsoft Windows in the upper right corner. In the middle of the screen, it says this: Microsoft (R) Windows (R) Version 5.2 (build 3790:Service Pack 2) 4 system processors [6136MB memory] multiprocessor kernal.

After that, the screen goes black again and says this:
Checking file system on F:
The volume is clean
Checking file system on C:
The volume is clean
Windows has finished checking the system

It then goes to the Windows is starting up screen. and all is good. Any idea as to what the hell I did to cause this? I've spent the last couple of hours going over what I did, re-reading and searching. Any ideas as to what I need to due would be greatly appreciated as this little detour the PC is doing pretty much negates the rest of the speed tweeking.

Cheers

Did you backup the registry entries? You should restore them either from the backup .reg file you might've made, or you might be able to manually put them back in. That should fix startup problems the fastest way.

I run Clean My PC Registry Cleaner so I do have a back up before the screw up. I would like to figure out which one needs to be fixed so I don't have to undo all of it. If I have to undo all, I will.

go to MSCONFIG and select GUI boot and disable boot logging.

(Been awhile since I've done it, but I think that's how you fix it.)

XP Pro's msconfig menu doesn't contain GUI Boot. I looked through everything there and couldn't find a boot logging option, though I thought I remembered it having one.

Got it. Adding '/sos' to the boot up command to disable the boot screen does this to XP x64. Won't do that again......
