Need some advice

Thread Starter
I'm working on my first real build now, and before I order a card i need some opinions (in addition to the amazing ones already here). I need to know:

If I should go with the 470 or 570
OR
Do a SLI configuration

as well as what brand to buy
I am partial to ASUS (I like the attention to detail and quality control and want all my parts to play nice just in case) but am open to other brands

I have heard bad things about SLI and Crossfire for compatibility and reliablility, and want to have a stable system I don't have to F*** with everytime i want to load a different game.
(I have chosen NVIDA as they have been good to me in the past, I have a 9600GT for PYSX, and I wan't 3D, no offense to ATI)

****
games in mind:
New Vegas
Fallout 3
Crysis
Metro 2033
CIV 5
as well as legacy support for my old games (ie: SC4, Roller Coaster Tycoon)

thanks for any opinions in advance

Actually all ATI HD5000 and HD6000 series cards can do 3d now.

Roller Coaster Tycoon didnt work with my 9800GT but it works fine with my HD3650, I also had same problems with starcraft broodwar on the 9800GT.
