They are both "B" batches which means it's too close to call.

The B batch 980x' are among the best batches for the gulftowns if that is any indication.

I'm saying they are both "B" batches and the numbers are very close as in 129 to 194.

so it's a toss up which is better for OC'n.

Better question is why would you even consider going from a 930 to a 970?

Like TooShort said, they're both from the same batch. The 1st digit is where it was made, the 2nd digit is the year (0 = 2010), and the 3rd and 4th digits are the weeks. They'll probably OC about the same.

I'd personally put your 5850's for sale in the video section and order a 580 with that 500 bucks.

Right now they're 179.99 after MIR on newegg so 280-300 for the pair wouldn't be a stretch. 275 for a quick sale.
