I have discoverd its most probley the PSU... Its taken me 3 months pulling my hair out to discover this...
now im hunting for a new psu...

Correction to my earlyer discovery..

Now i have changed my last 700w psu with a new corsair 650w psu and no change at all same problem.
I was lead to belive that this was the answere but no luck.
now i have payed out more money with no answere to the problem...any body got any sugestions...

This is what i have done so far as you can see it did not work for me... But may be one of these steps i have taken will help one of you out there... I would be intreasted if anything i have sugested here helps somebody...

1. I have reinstalled Vista 64bit OS system also tried 32 bit vista and Ubuntu

2. I have uninstalled drivers

3. I have reinstalled latest drivers from website

4. Replaced with new power supply a Corsair 650w

5. I also have a Belkin surge protection unit between the computer and the main supply from the house.

6. The complete system is separately earthed.

7. I also have the system statically discharged during and after diagnoses.

8. replaced my graphics card with a new ATI 4850 1GB HD model

9. (Air Cooled system) Case internal temps are normally 3 degrees above room temp Quad Core 6660 CPU never goes above 45c under extreme game play testing.

10. ATI Card Never goes above 35c under fur mark test or Extreme game play

11. I have used device manager to uninstall the Ethernet device then allowed the system to reboot and reinstall the device automatically with no change to the problem (Exclamation mark still shows).

12. Ran the system with individual sticks of ram to Isolate the BSODS

13. Ran MemTest64+

14. Complete renewal of 4870HD 1GB ATI card

15. 6x Reinstalled OS 64Bit( with the Microsoft Vista Technical Support Team assisting me through the installation process)

16. On 2 occasions Installed Ubuntu 64Bit separately

17. Complete removal of hardware cleaned and electrostatically discharged

18. 3dr party software to find damaged drivers (result no problems found)

19. After system failure o/s needed to be started in low rez mode just to be able to restart the system to uninstall catalysts to then start all over again.

20. I have installed each and every software version from version 8 to latest version driver software.

21. There has been no change to the symptoms it has stayed constant through.
