You people are taking this test WAY too personal. Especially the 1366 guys

First off these aren't my tests. I would have tested clock for clock. I pulled these from here..

http://translate.google.com/translat...%26prmd%3Divns

It's a test of stock clocks thats all. Don't read into them

Because it was just a test of stock clocks. Overclocked the 2600K is going to overclock a lot higher then a 950.

Not really. SHows what they do when you compare them at stock clocks

What? Are you serious?

32nm
lower heat
Lower power
unlocked

Tell me again why the 2600K isn't good?

And a PhenomII 1100 is going to bench higher than a 1055T at stock too....is that because the 1100 is better, or because the test is rigged for intents and purposes to show what you want due to clock speed differences?

Should people with a 1055T be scrambling for 1100T CPUs now, or be being called sore losers for calling a rigged test a rigged test?

I don't deny the lower power/heat or the potentially higher OCs of Sandy over Nehalem. What I question is writing off the 1366 line from a performance standpoint due to a rigged test.

How exactly was the test rigged? Because they didn't test EXACTLY to how you wanted?

Does Anandtech test clock for clock? NO. They test stock clocks

"32nm

It is irrelevant since I run either an SLI or Crossfire setup, 9 drives and a heavily overclocked CPU. The most annoying thing is inability to overclock any CPU. Intel decided to roll out ten? "new models" with socket 1155 but only two with a magical letter K. All I have to do is change the multiplier... That is just sad. It is just an ok upgrade for those with very old system but for those running 1336 and 1156 it is more cosmetic.

Jean, it is good because you want it to sound and be good. You almost smack of Intel socket 1155 jingoism in your posts.

Here's what I'm assuming, it should be faster clock for clock even if it is a low percentage it still overclocks higher than 1366.

This is not really a upgrade if you already have 1366 not much gains for you, but if you are just building a system this is the path to go unless you want to run 3 or 4 gpus.

It also has a intel sata 6gbs controller instead of that crappy marvel one. also uefi instead of bios.

Those ^ are two nice features but certainly not worth upgrading for unless you have money to burn.

In other words, stop dissing it because you wanna feel better about your old i7.

Please with the triple channel ram already, I'm gonna have to choke a...... just stop with triple channel ram it's not a feature.

Only difference is pci-e bandwidth.
Got a hint form someone here with this setup alread that sata 6gbs performance is going to be pretty nice. I'm hoping for some nice results for c300 owners.

I know the 2600k is better but my point is that there is no upgrade after 2600k, intel may release some other cpu with slightly up in the clock speed but that's all, no x6s or x8.( I don't know this I'm just guessing)

I read it just fine. You're just whining like alittle girl because they didn't test clock for clock. It's one test. If you don't like the results too bad. Wait for officials.

Going to ***** and moan too when anandtech doesn't test the way you want?

What? A 95w processor overclocked is going to put out less heat then a 130w overclocked processor. Are you trying to say that a 32nm processor overclocked is going to put out the same heat a 45nm overclocked processor would?

Do a search for a E5620 vs a 930 review. They were both overclocked to 4Ghz. The E5620 put out 60W less heat overclocked and consumed a lot less power.

1155 is mainstream. Not sure why everyone wants another thousand dollar 6 core processor on the market. If you need 6 cores jump to 1366.

holy crap. quit being an A-hole.

The point is, because the clocks were different, it, in a way, disqualifies the benchmark.

Yes, it will OC way higher than any i7 chip, give out less heat, and pretty much beat out an i7 chip. which is a good start.

I`m not impressed at all with 2600k score..

This Intel platform (according to this previews of the SandyBridge)only makes sense if they are planning on killing P55 & X58 platforms and forcing users to upgrade to SandyBridge just to make profit of higher priced new hw..
