question about VMs & hardware

Thread Starter
I've run a VM now & then, & while its easy to get the vm running, running it is a lil tiresome - theres the never ending need for more iops from the storage sub-system (read: must-have-ssd) & ofc a bit more ram & cores helps as well

I'm wondering - if u installed a vm on a dedicated ssd, allocate 4GB+ ram & assign 2C/4T to it, will it be just as smooth as if it were an actual rig?

TIA

hdd wise probably
tho i doubt itl be as smooth thers always softare overhead
and a dual isnt the best for a vm if u multitask alot
