Help me please?!?!?!

OK, so I installed my ssd on Monday, and since then I've noticed something REALLY weird. I leave my computer on 24/7, and when I get up in the mournings, or after I haven't been on it for a couple hours, When I move the mouse to bring up the screen, my secondary hdd is off. It's drive F: in my machine. Now I have my computer set up to turn off the monitor in 5 mins, and to sleep never. IT DOES NOT TURN OFF THE SSD, but my 1tb seagate it does. I first noticed this because in hwmonitor, where it normally lists the temps and airflow for the seagate, was not there. So I opened my computer, double clicked on the F: drive, and sure nuff, I heard it spining up. Then it shows up in hwmonitor. Now I know this is actually a GREAT THING, BUUUUUUT, as far as I know there isn't a way to set it to do so, and THAT is what worries me is how the hell is it happening? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guru's.

I think I've figured it out. My board uses ahci just fine, but in the bios it doesn't recognize my ssd as a drive plugged in, even though it boots to it and actually runs faster than the 355mb per second advertised. So it's turning off the only "disk" that it sees, which is FREAKING AWESOME, because as I said, it doesn't turn off the ssd, only my mechanical drive. YAY, Asus's screwy bios actually helps. +1 Asus. LOL

What do you want to achieve? To turn off BOTH HDDs or to turn off NONE?

In power options there are advanced setting per power plan where you can find the option Turn off HDD after: x min / never

As I just posted, I don't want to change a thing, I know 1000 people who wish they could turn off ONLY their mechanical drives after a certain time, but leave their ssd on. I somehow have that ability and couldn't be happier about it.
