should i buy the corsair h50 - Page 3

id get the $80 BB h70, but if they don't have it, then the h50 would be great

i bought an h50 back when they were $50 at BB like a year or so ago, and i ended up breaking one of the tubes lose on the rad when mouting it, and so i had to return and they were out of stock so i just got a real loop instead a few weeks later

The h50 is not a very good cooler in terms of temps, simply because water is just like metal in someways, and the tube is basically a heat pipe to the radiator which is basically your tower of fins. The h50 only has 1 "heat-pipe" and only a small "tower". You could build yourself a half decent REAL watercooling system for about $60, that actually has the advantages that a watercooling system is supposed to have. Watercooling systems are supposed to have a supply of water which is cooled by a radiator and pumped through the loop by a pump and stored in the reservoir. This might sound lazy, but it is like 3 AM where I am, so just trust me on this one. $20 cpu block, $15 radiator, 5 reservior, and a $20 pump will whoop a h50 in almost everyway.
