7 years playing COD 1 all mosue jitter.

hello guys I'm a rabid Cod 1 player
I figured its been 7 years since the game came out
so there has to be a better mouse for it.
but I cant quite get any of them work properly, for starters I'm a sniper but the further the enemy is, getting a shot in gets extremely difficult because the crosshairs seem to be jumping pixels, forcing me to wait until the crosshairs finally land on the guy.

it is the slow movement of the mouse when the "jumping of pixles" or jitters ( I dunno what to call them) is more noticeable.

I just wanted to know if you guys also experience this in other games, older games, and if there are any other tips besides the ones in the Optimization Guide to fix this issue

hello and thanks for the reply I tired to fill out as much as I could.
well I own

razer copperhead
razer diamondback
razer diamondback 3g
Razer salmosa
logitech G3
Logitech G5

But right now I'm using the razer Diamondback which is an optical sensor.

I have tried countless of mice over the past serven years.
to be honest the first mice I bought was the copperhead I worked wonderfully for the first 2 days then It didn't quite work like it should I later found out that razer mice were not compatible with my operating system at the time which was Winodws XP media center.
I wonder if it is because the game is so old, I have no clue.

you can get a mouse with adjustable DPI like the Logitech G500 I'm using right now.

Since you are having jitter issues adjust the dpi to the lower end and then adjust the sensitivity up. I need to know what mouse you are actually using now. If you still have all the mice listed plug in the g5 and get the latest driver for it here.

after that change the mouse setting inside the logitech software and set your windows mouse settings to a mild sensitivity.
